Inês Reis Gaspar
Research Lead, Aurora Energy Research

Inês is an energy markets leader whose career began in the European power sector, with a focus on the Iberian market. Early on, she recognised her ambition not only to analyse energy systems, but to actively shape them - broadening her impact beyond Europe by taking on responsibility in fast-evolving emerging markets. She went on to pioneer Aurora Energy Research’s expansion into Latin America, launching its first Brazil power market report and long-term power price forecast. Today, she leads the research agenda for Brazil, Chile and Mexico, soon extending to Colombia and Peru. Inês oversees long-term market modelling and strategic insights across the region, guiding investors, policymakers and developers through energy transition decisions. She is recognised for building and mentoring high-performing multinational teams, fostering ownership and collaboration across borders. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, Inês brings a genuinely cross-regional perspective to transition challenges. She is driven by a commitment to contribute to resilient, investment-ready and globally connected energy systems - and to grow into a leader capable of shaping them at scale.
