Meet Jim Rijks, an entrepreneurial Offshore Wind Engineering Manager with a rich 5-year experience at a Big-6 developer. Jim has significantly contributed to the development of a 5GW offshore wind portfolio across the UK, Europe, and APAC. He’s an internationally experienced leader who values diversity and creates lasting connections. At ScottishPower Renewables, he coordinated multiple Project Services departments and developed a consistent methodology for measuring design progress. He also spent 3 months in APAC on a short-term secondment to build and support a local expert team in Taiwan.

Jim is a founding member of the Future Energy Leaders NL and a strategy lead at the Energy Institute’s YP Council. He holds an MEng in Energy Engineering with Environmental Management from the University of East Anglia. Jim is bilingual, speaking Dutch and English natively
