Born in Peru, José is a Senior Product Manager for AI for Sustainability at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, leading AI-driven global products enhancing electrification, smart buildings, and the smart grid. Passionate about using AI and data to make energy systems more sustainable and support energy transition in his region, he cofounded Polisense AI in 2025, an environmental intelligence platform that won the AIxCity Global Sustainability Competition at New York Climate Week, empowering cities and industries to monitor pollution, energy use, and climate risk in real time. With AI and energy experience, José actively contributes to the global energy transition. In 2025, he served as a youth delegate at IRENA General Assembly, discussing AI energy and a youth role in decarbonization. Previously Product Owner at Siemens Grid Edge, he led low-voltage grid management software. As a Data Scientist, he developed AI-driven solutions optimizing energy efficiency and smarter infrastructure. He holds two masters degrees, multiple awards, IPs, and certifications. As an innovation driver, he collaborates with Siemens Innovation Ecosystem, supporting global sustainability campaigns linking startups, academia, private sector to drive impactful AI and energy solutions.
