Dr. Mohamed Alhaj is a Sudanese energy leader and founder of Terra Energy, where his ambition is to bridge the gap between climate strategy and bankable execution across Africa. His professional record spans a decade of diverse engagements, ranging from national renewable energy strategies and utility-scale solar feasibility to climate finance and investment-readiness advisory for international donors. Previously, he served as a Project Engineer at the Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) for six years, co-leading the development of Qatar’s inaugural national renewable energy strategy. In addition, Dr. Alhaj serves as Chairman of the RES4Africa Youth Task Force and leads Clean Energy 4 Africa, a UN-acknowledged platform for youth empowerment. Featured by African Business, Power for All, and the World Bank for his sector contributions, he frequently moderates at global forums including COP27 and Africa Climate Week. Moreover, he is a published researcher with a PhD from Hamad Bin Khalifa University specializing in solar-driven desalination.
