Priyanka Nandi is a mother and an engineer working in the Energy sector for the last 7 years. She is the Chief Product Officer at Cassetex Ltd. a climate tech company developing sustainable solutions for the future of energy and mobility. She is a specialist in distributed energy and Li-ion battery energy storage systems. She is empowering women as "micro-energy entrepreneur" by designing women-friendly Cassetex battery swapping cabinets, making women pioneers in the energy transition race. This distributed energy model uses solar recharged smart portable batteries as pay-as-you-go, replacing Lead-acid batteries thus saving 36 million children's lives affected by lead poisoning in Bangladesh. As farmers are the cornerstone of South east-Asian economy, she is also electrifying agricultural tools making the farming climate resilient. She is a Commonwealth Startup Fellow by the Imperial College London and the UK government. She is a proud winner of IRENA NewGen Rising Star award 2025, and SolarX Startup Challenge 2024. She has completed her M.Sc. and is looking forward to a PhD.
