Ramit Kalia is an energy enthusiast, passionately working towards energy transition, climate change and sustainable development for more than 9 years. He is working as Technical Officer at Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India (on deputation from Engineers India Limited). He possesses experience in Policy formulation, Data Analytics, Data Management, Governance, Finance and Alternative fuels. He provides valuable inputs to senior officials in the Government, Industry and International Organizations. He continues to shape public discourse in India through his writings as well as speaking sessions. He has written an editorial on ‘Energy independence through Hydrogen’ in India’s leading national daily ‘The Hindu’. He frequently addresses various summits/conferences on Energy Transition as a Keynote speaker/panelist. He has contributed in multifarious national and international reports relating to energy sector; authored 'Energy Data Management' report under a Sub Group constituted by NITI Aayog as well as 'Mining, Fuel & Power' report for the revision of base year for Wholesale Price Index (WPI). He has been recognized as India's Green Energy & Climate Leader of Tomorrow - 30 under 30 in 2022 by EQ magazine. He completed his Engineering from Thapar University; a Management Development Programme on Public Private Partnership from IIM Indore and Energy Statistics Course from IEA at Paris. He has won ‘Executive of the Year’ & ‘Team innovation’ awards in EIL.
