Sylvia Okey-Ekebor is an Sylvia Ukaegbu is a Senior Investment and Sustainability Associate at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), where she works within the NSIA Nigeria Infrastructure Fund under the industrialization and climate & sustainability thematic areas, supporting investments across energy, power, and related infrastructure sectors. Her work focuses on developing and financing projects that strengthen Nigeria’s energy systems and support long-term economic growth. She has worked on several landmark transactions, including the financing of a 30MW embedded gas-fired power plant in Lagos, the acquisition of generation and distribution assets, and the development of a large-scale ammonia production project in partnership with OCP Group of Morocco. She has also contributed to the structuring of an infrastructure finance guarantee facility supported by the World Bank and the development of a gas-focused investment platform for energy infrastructure in Nigeria. Sylvia holds a First Class degree in Chemical Engineering and has completed advanced training in financial modelling and valuation at J.P. Morgan. She is particularly interested in practical investment approaches that support reliable and sustainable energy systems in emerging economies.
