Vanessa is a lawyer with approximately 14 years of experience, licensed and practicing in Mozambique. With previous experience as a legal consultant working in one of the major law firms in Mozambique, Vanessa joined Globeleq Mozambique in October 2021 as Legal Manager, providing legal support to the Globeleq Mozambican group of companies, in relation to development activities, construction and asset management, and corporate governance. Recent activities include (i) legal support since 2022 in relation to the construction management of the 450MW Temane Gas to Power in Inhambane (Mozambique), (ii) support on the acquisition of Mocuba 41MWp Solar PV - Transaction Close December 2023, and (iii) inputs into the Electricity Law and Regulations amendment processes conducted by the Government of Mozambique. Vanessa is also currently involved in the development of the 120 MW Namaacha project, the first wind project in Mozambique, as lead local lawyer for the Sponsors team.
